Concerns about Eldercare are valid. But as good as a caregiver may be one of the most important components of not only eldercare, but of the care of any person with health issues, is proper storage, maintenance of and access to the patient’s health records. As good as a caregiver is, a detailed medical record is usually beyond their scope of knowledge. In case of emergency this knowledge or lack of, could be the difference between survival or not. This situation is especially prevalent with the more mobile elderly, or those not requiring fulltime assistance. There needs to be a storage medium where EMR can be transferred via the portal and be readily available whenever there is an emergency or health issue. The CARE Medical History Bracelet allows medical records through the portal to a USB worn in the bracelet. On the USB there is a section for personal and contact information and a secure section that contains medical records, history, treatments and medications as well as special instructions. Even test results, x-rays, MRIs and such can also be stored. Having all this information constantly available with the patient is one of the best “caregivers” available for a patient of any age.
